Eric Betzig, new Helen Wills Neuroscience Institute faculty member who will start as Professor of Physics and MCB at UC Berkeley this summer, has combined his earlier developments in lattice light-sheet microscopy and adaptive optics into a new microscope system. In the video below, you can see immune cell migration in the inner ear of a live zebrafish embryo, demonstrating the power and beauty of this approach.
