On September 30, 2023, Helen Wills Neuroscience Institute members Marla Feller and Rich Ivry were officially inducted into the American Academy of Arts & Sciences (AAAS) at a ceremony in Cambridge, MA. The ceremony celebrated new members elected in 2022 and 2023.
Ivry, distinguished professor of psychology, was elected to the AAAS in 2022. Ivry studies cognitive neuroscience, with a focus on how people plan and execute actions and movements.
Feller, professor of neurobiology in the department of Molecular and Cell Biology, was elected to the AAAS in 2023. Feller studies the development and functional organization of neural circuits in the retina.
