DPY-23 is a subunit of clathrin adaptor AP-2, which mediates the endocytosis of membrane proteins. This figure shows that dpy-23 mutants have defective QL and QR neuron migration – motor neurons (arrowheads in C-E) end up in the wrong place. This phenotype is also seen in Wnt mutants such as egl-20, and the Wnt secretion factor mutant mig-14.
